BREAKING: Football Legend Maradona dies at 60 (Full Report)

Football icon Diego Maradona has reportedly died aged 60.

Reports from South America on Wednesday afternoon claim the Argentina legend has passed away following a “cardiorespiratory arrest”.

Maradona recently underwent brain surgery before being discharged from hospital.

He required the operation for a blood clot on his brain.

After being discharged, Maradona was taken to a recovery clinic to be treated for alcohol dependency.

He was admitted to the Ipensa clinic in Buenos Aires earlier in November suffering from anaemia and dehydration.

Regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, Maradona turned out for Boca Juniors, Barcelona and Napoli among others during a storied career.

But it was in the blue and white of Argentina he is most fondly remembered.

Maradona won the World Cup for his nation in 1986, scoring the iconic “Hand of God” goal past England keeper Peter Shilton.
